We went to Parkes today, Mum had to go to Centrelink to fill something out, so Aunty Duck took us. Aunty Robyn had given us money to buy clothes - she's rather... obsessed that I have good clothes. Despite the fact I don't go anywhere. Hell, I don't even date. Either way, Aunty took us over there at about 10, 10 30 this morning.

Parkes is about 20 kms away, it's called my towns twin town, though Forbes and Parkes are somewhat opposite. Forbes is full of stunning old buildings and history, Parkes is.. Parkes is tan bricks and chain stores. To annoy Parkes people, somewhat of a pastime in Forbes, we tell them that Parkes is a suburb of Forbes. You've never seen angry people until you see that xD

It only took about 20 minutes to get to Parkes, give or take. Mum and Aunty Duck were talking most of the way while I sung quietly in th back of the car to my iPod. When we arrived in Parkes we went to a kitchen designs shop to pick out some colour samples, which we did. We got some bright colours, some more subtle ones as well, even some marble laminate patterns.

Once we left there Aunty and I dropped Mum at Centrelink and went to some place where Aunty needed to see someone. I waited in the car, doodling, singing and writing some NaNo things in my notebook. Once that was done it was time to go find Mum. She'd finished at Centrelink and was over the road at Big W (I had called her Mobile to find out where she was). So we went clothes shopping in Big W. I got a lot of tops, mostly the long, dressy kind that you wear pants under and they go to mind thigh or a bit higher.I also got a skirt, a notebook and some gel pens. Mum got some things, as did Aunty. We also got a dinner set for here, because the cats keep kicking out plates onto the floor and smashing them. Sigh.

We put our stuff in the car then walked over to Pizza Hut for lunch, we all had the Works. We talked a fair bit while we had lunch, a lot about Dad (Aunty is his sister), I miss him a lot. I think we all do, to be honest. I knew he was going to die before they flew him to Orange, it was because the last thing he said to me was 'I love you' and it had such an air of finality to it that I just knew.

After that, we did the ever dangerous thing of going to The Warehouse (also known as Crazy Clint's), it's one of those shops with bits and bobs of everything relatively cheap. Well, a discount store, if you will. I brought a stack of candles, three packs of chocolate scented ones (What? I do not have a problem) and a pack of 100 plain white tea lights (because, as a witch, you don't even want to know how many I go through.) I also brought some craft glue.

Last was the most dangerous thing to do of all. We went to Angus and Robinson's, thats a book store, if you've never been.

Anyone who knows me, knows me and a bookstore are more dangerous than dynamite and fire. Anyways, I went in and had a look, mum and Aunty came too, they are equally as dangerous in a bookstore. We must have been in there for about ten, fifteen minutes. I ended up buying this small little thing about belly dancing, it has finger cymbals in it. Mum brought me a book called White Rose Rebel by Janet Paisley, it's about a Scottish Celt woman, it says it's like the female braveheart. Then we came home. One the way we had to swerve, because there was a dead kangaroo on the Highway. It looked young, though, I suppose it could have been a wallaby.
